John McCain was booed by his own supporters Friday when, in an abrupt switch from raising questions about Barack Obama's character, he described the Democrat as a "decent person."
Last night I saw one of the journalists traveling with McCain reporting her observations on yesterday's campaign stops. She has been with them for quite a while. She said that yesterday the people she spoke to at the rallies were not the average people who believe in the platform, are there to see their candidate, and have a positive outlook and attitude. She said everyone she spoke to yesterday were the rabid, negative, radical types who were repeating the negatives and the lies and using angry word toward Obama. She said there had always been some nuts in every crowd, but lately the crowds have changes from moderate, real people, to these nutty types. That's what they are now drawing. Scary!
The case for decency is weak and wavering in todays political climate and in case McCain hasn't noticed the Democrat Lib knows that nice guys finnish last. The case for Palin, who appears in all aspect, Normal, it is something lib's cannot stand, remember this opposition is the leftover hippie group and to them the establishment is just , no good. The hippies have spent a lifetime and a fortune dumbing down these new voters, they have intimidated, extorted, propagandized and schooled the last three generations of Americans on just how rotten they have it under the tyranny of freedom. They have peed in their bed and yours to make their inadequate point.
Now they want their due, their Mesaiah, a man who is not to be questioned and who is being masqeraded as a leader, there is no mercy for anyone who tries to gather background info or publicly questions this charades antics, his past or his intention, you the hippie trained must obey, it is your duty. Down with the evils of integrity, character and real ability, let us now accept whomever the deites decide the butt boy will be and destroy the opposition by word and deed, it is the new law.
The Republican party is everything these people depise, so therefore it stands to reason that what McCain ask for is frustrating when the open knowledge of voter fraud, intimidation and riot are a daily dose of the tactic on the left. This party wants to oppose this uncivil behavior but if the legal means are not going to be enforced, there is nothing left but the hostile frustration and the unwillingness to be opressed by incivility. The RINO/Lib consortium has made this election nothing less than a farce, the electioneering has degraded the freedom to vote into a sham and our nation is much poorer for this destruction of democracy.
Hippies?? The 60s are calling and want your knee-jerk hate of liberals back.
The Repubilcan party lost it's way when it started to cater to the Religious Right, then the Neocons took over. The you had a lot of very unethical people in office like Tom Delay, Cunningham, etc. It's not the party it once was.
It''s you guys who have called Obama the "Messiah." That's just plain dumb. We know he's not perfect but he's a great inspirational leader with a lot of great ideas for America (read his website) and he's not far left, he's actually more of a centrist.
Now they want their due, their Mesaiah, a man who is not to be questioned
Now THAT brings back memories of Iran-Contra, Ollie North, the far right "Moral Majority" and Ronald Regan for me. Is isn't 1980 anymore, is it?
I have much more faith in the American people, our constituional government and our ability to endure and again succeed than you, my friend. Our democracy is now seeing grass roots participation and it will serve to make us a better nation.
Ontime..........
Its the Republicans who have labeled Obama "The Messiah". Hippies peeing in their beds, I doubt that. Most likely conservative Republicans are the ones doing the peeing. They are actually shaking beneath the covers when not in their boots.
Once again, you and the Republicans have labeled Obama The Messiah. This is your way to slander but yet attempt to be the good little boys. It's a sick message. The message of hatred and slander.
Take Care
Time for these slack-jawed crackers to head back to the trailer park and resume bangin' their sisters.

The true Democrat, who suddenly wants to vote republican because McCain finally did the decent thing, not politically correct thing by all standards. I ask you what about the issues?
Don't or didn't they matter too you? What McCain did was no more than right, stop the lies that he was responsible for spreading. Frankly he had just agreed with the young man who said he feared an Obama presidency, didn't want his unborn child to be born under an Obama presidency. Had he spoken up against this man's fear, at that time, instead of nodding his head in agreement, the other statement would have been a moot point and probably never would have been voiced.
"IN MY OPINION"
Well thought and received political pundits are enjoyed and worthy of discussion and
understanding. The rantings of malice, discontent and riotious behavior with no founded
bearing on the issues except fervent emotions and immature sputtering deserve being
called "DUMBDITS"
DUMBDIT: (noun) , Any one who expresses his/her thoughts, opinions, revelations,
unfounded echo's, created stupidity, repeats/repeated ignorance, untruths, gossips
(self-created or over heard/untraceable,) and or any other unfathomable, self righteous,
pious, digressive discourse (without taking the time to research the reality) before they
post their words is a "DUMBDIT."
First I presented "ECHOCRAT" Now I give you "DUMBDIT" quite the opposite of Pundit.
SO LET THE DUMBDITS BEGIN.
TRY TO KEEP IN MIND THAT IN DOING SO THE WORDS OF THE FOLLOWING:
COMPASSION
MOMENTS OF COMPASSION
WHETHER PHYSICAL OR MENTAL
WHETHER FUTILE OR FRUITFUL
ARE NOT ONLY MOMENTS
BUT A LIFETIME
Smalley (1969)
Thank you for your new word. I love it. Its a shame there are so many dumbdits out there.
I have to give McCain credit for what he said. But Obama is still the better of the two capable of leading this country out of it's nightmare!
Obama is the better choice because this goverment does need a new direction. McCain does deserve credit but because it is Democrats like myself give him credit he will be discredited by his own Party.
Why McCain feels he still has to pander to this group is beyond me. The wheels came off in his campaign when he was told by the Atwater/Rove crowd this was how to win. Even his choice of Palin is a reflection of his perception he needed to appeal to the hard right. Palin has not rallied former Hillary supporters, she rallied Huckabee supporters.
Obama/Biden '08
I am so tired of having to look up lies and half truths about this election. I am also ashamed and disgusted to think McCain and Palin are American much less that they are running for president and vice president. I understand the idea of a political battle but this is getting ridiculous. How can a United States Senator and a man that is running for President of the United States of America speak and behavior so poorly. And his selection for Vice President is just as bad, If not worse. (Mrs. Hockey Mom) Shame on you McCain and Palin, and the sad part of this whole mess is that your supporters believe the load of crap you are feeding them. I pray that they wake up, smell the coffee, and use their mind to do their research. Seek the truth and it shall find you.
“Falsehood is cowardice, truth is courage.”--Hosea Ballou.
I love how the only thing that the GOP has left is to make up more lies and slander. It is stuff like this that even Johm MCcain is now saying is not true. Iguess it is so bad that even Johns supporters wont listen to him. what a shame the GOP has become.
McCain did a decent and honorable thing yesterday and was chastised by members of his own Party. I think we get a better idea what a big man McCain is and how small minded these Republicans really are. I get a feeling can he can work across the aisle but prefer he continues to do it in the United States Senate. Obama/Biden '08
totally agree!
I agree as well. I have watched McCain for years and have always felt him to be a farily decent man... capable of straddling that left/right fence with ease and grace. This campaign presented me with a McCain I did not recognize at all.
Looking back, I think the main reason he had trouble looking Obama in the eye during the frist debate was because he was embarrassed about where his republican handlers had taken him. Granted, he followed most willingly in a effort to become the next president.. but now, I think the weight of his transformation is started to bother him.
The McCain of 2000 would have been a much greater challenge to a democratic victory than the McCain of 2008... especially if he had chosen Lieberman as his running mate rather than this angry, puck wielding unknown from Alaska.
As far as your typical republican... I don't believe for one moment that those featured in this article represent the mainstream republican. While my views differ greatly from the republican platform, I do believe that the majority of those who align themselves with that party have the best interest of the country at heart. If the republicans ever take back their party from the likes of Karl Rove, George Bush, ect. (the way the Dems have taken their party back from the Clintons).. they will become quite formidable again. Until then, this will be a chance for the Dems to try their solutions at stablizing our country.
HONOR WHERE HONOR IS DUE
I have already made up my mind for Senator Obama, BECAUSE I THINK HIS IDEAS AND PLANS ARE MUCH BETTER FOR THE MIDDLE CLASS
But I HAVE TO GIVE McCAIN CREDIT FOR PUBLICLY CORRECTING HIS SUPPORTERS, at the cost of alienating some of the most radical members of the crowd he was talking to.
That was a BRAVE thing to do, particularly, when the polls indicated he needs ECERY SINGLE VOTE he can get to TRY to be competitive on November 4.
Perhaps he could have just listened to the crowd and stayed silent or just interrupted them and change the topic, BUT HE DID THE RIGHT THING AND TOLD THEM - IN THIS PUBLIC FORUM, IN FRONT OF THE CAMERAS - THAT THEY ARE WRONG.
So, I, for one, APPRECIATE Senator McCain's reaction IN THIS SITUATION (his Rally in Minnesota, on 10/10/2008). - Kudos to him.
All that being said, I also call for the McCain / Palin Campaign to REALIZE THE DAMAGE THAT THEY ARE DOING IN THE AMERICAN PEOPLE. They must realize that, their actions (negative campaign, character assassination) may be very detrimental to the country if Senator Obama ends up being our next President. The potential cost of the negative campaign by McCain/Palin in the future, should give them pause make them stop.
I (personally) look forward to an Obama victory, because I am convinced that he is better for the American Middle Class ON THE ISSUES.
A decent person who will tax you to no end.
You want to talk morals and ethics? Your ignorance is glaring obvious if you think you can even begin to compare Nobama to McCain.
I think Nobama is an excellent public speaker, I admire his skill. However, I do not trust anything he says.
People and the economy are hurting and they are desperate to grab onto something they think might help them.
Character, commitment, honor. These are the qualities our next president should possess.
Nobama will do nothing more than redistribute wealth by taxing the working man and give it to the too many, low life, non-working scum, that are leeches on our society. He will sound great while he sells you this pant-load of crap! He truly is a silver tongued DEVIL 666.
It amazes me how the liberals can be so vicious.
I think it's about time the conservatives are finally pissed off and won't take it anymore. This freaks out the liberals because in the past the conservatives have not fought back with the conviction they have always had in their hearts and minds but chose to keep to themselves and simply cast their vote.
NEWSFLASH!!!!! Were not going to take it anymore!!!
He will sound great while he sells you this pant-load of crap! He truly is a silver tongued DEVIL 666.
It amazes me how the liberals can be so vicious.
..... Pot... meet kettle.
I am a proud Republican and I believe in Free Enterprise. Therefore, I would never support Senator Obama. I disagree that the rhetoric from the stage incites people to hate him. He's the one who keeps saying he wants "change." However, the change he wants to make is a concern to those of us who want a free society. The Senator brought this upon himself through his attendance at the "million man march," his statements that he would meet directly with those who hate America without pre-conditions, his resistance to drilling, building nuclear power plants, etc. to move quickly toward energy independence, his promotion of socialism regarding the redistribution wealth through the tax code, and his lack of candor with regard to the ultra liberal government policies that led to the sub-prime mess; remember the sub-prime mess isn't just about greedy CEO's. It is also about ultra liberals like Senator Frank who insisted that their policies were helping the underprivileged to enter the housing market and anyone who tries to call them on it are immediately called racist.
Let's keep the Senator in the Senate, vote for someone with real character who will bring integrity to the Office of the Presdient in order to promote change away from the liberal government policies that are wreaking havoc on us all. Vote for John McCain.
i as a democrat have more respect for sen.mccain after his statements. but if you call this an honorble race, and say he has integrity, you are wrong. how come 60% of people they polled are for obama? it is some liberal conspiracy, and he doesnt really have the lead? i think the GOP needs to stop being such babies and liars and suck it up and comeback in 2012 with a better canadaite and campaign.
I have always been facinated how Lemings follow each other the over the cliff. I never did
get the reasoning behind that till this political season. "NOW I KNOW"
"...believe in free enterprise...therefore never support Obama..." - right. You'd much rather have another Great Depression and more corporate welfare. Do you work for AIG??
I really do not understand your statement regarding attending the million man march. Obviously you did not listen to anything that was said that day. That day showed many different religious beliefs who were mostly a non-white race in peaceful declaration that men need to be responsible and step up to that responsibility.
And the ideal of ignoring persons will make them do what you want...that does not work. Why not talk to persons, that is not agreeing with them, but eventually you have to talk out your differences. We can not go to war against everyone that does not agree with us.
John McCain may have had integrity at one time, and he may be attempting to reclaim it. But his running mate is scary. I am sure the group she supported that her spouse was a member of, to actually separate from America, makes you supporters for her a big question mark in my mind.....this is the truth, not assumptions, not perhaps, the truth. In my views, she has changed the tune of this campaign and it has been negative.
There are unkind people in this country, Democrats and Republican. America continues to hold a lot of racial unrest, Democrats and Republicans. The leader needs to have a calming presence, not a riot starter. The leader needs to have some intelligence, and leadership skills. And it is obvious our next leader can not lead us in our current declining situation.
Whomever is elected, will not make a drastic change, they have to work with many facets of our government, but the current Republican ticket does not even seem negotiable at this time. There are issues on both parties that I like many Americans agree with and disagree with. Each voter should be looking at the entire picture and making the best decision based on their needs and what they feel this country needs.
It is so funny now how the Republicans rally McCain who 8 years ago they turned their back on. It is so sad, that he would listen to advisers who I am sure he knew deep down that Palin was not what should have been on his ticket.
Palin can rally a crowd, and she has a quick smile; but she seems ignorant to the point that she can not even state what publishing's she reads. She is uncultured and it is an embarrassment to me as an American that she is on any ticket, besides a hunting competition.
America needs to hold on tight, because we are in for a hell of a bumpy ride at this point. Let's not add a speeding 4 wheel vehicle with a unrepairable flat to the equation.
This Presidential campaign has been as filthy and as hate filled as it can get on the part of both parties. The mentality of the voters were encourage by the tone of the campaigns from both McCain and Obama with the Republicans making the more radical attacks recently. McCain finally saw that it was time to step in stop the insanity and shameful hatred that the campaign has invoked..
Getting caught up in the heat and passion of the race can cause some to lose their perspective and common sense in sticking to the issues and staying away from personal attacks. That goes not only the candidates but supporters of both parties who have been engaging in disgustingly offensive personal attacks with no intellectual thought involved, just mindless nonsense and stupidity.
At the least, I give credit to McCain for his guts to finally say something about it directly to his own party inspite of being booed for it. He never should have taken the low road and realized it then.
I too, give credit to John McCain for FINALLY stepping in to try and stop the hateful rants of his followers. Unfortunately it IS too little too late.
A leader, whether of a country, of a company, or of a battle, has a responsibility for the direction of his policies, of his business, of his campaign and a responsiblity to ensure his friends, his followers/employees/soldiers are on the right path. John McCain has not shown he able to control or direct his campaign on an honorable path.
John McCain has proven that he is NOT capable of leading!!!
I agree that McCain is solely responsible for any ads or direction his campaign has taken and he should take the blame for that. However, whether it disqualifies him from capable of leading the nation is a matter of personal perspective and opinion.
Mistakes are made by everyone and only the voters can determine whom they feel should be the next President. Let the elections roll!
did john mccains campaign END yesterday.....or BEGIN too late? did he awaken from a deep sleep during a rally yesterday? has he now decided to attempt to calm these near riotous crowds hes speaking to? calm his followers' worrisome attitudes that obama isnt a muslim nor to be feared?! hes been at this for 2 yrs! he has NEVER laid out any ideas on his plan for the presidency. the pow story can only play out for so long. the war in iraq isnt winnable.....and if it was.....is another 5-10 yrs of occupation. they want us to go home! his trillion dollar plan to rob medicare/medicade to fund the nations med plan is ridiculous! even worse...... his $2500/$5000 taxable tax deduction "gift" for coverage? his home bailout is another special treat! restructure your loan for the orig. price......on a house worth $1000s less? gee.....who receives the money difference? duh! tax breaks cont. for large corps/oil cos? dozens of mccains friends have said "who is this man i no longer know?" well....he may have seen the light yesterday and its probably too late. theres 1 debate left. mccain is the 1 who needs to purchase tv time! hes needs to explain his opponent is a good decent christian. mccain just has different ideas and would make a better president.
John McCain with lots of assistance, created a monster. I don't know what they can do to undo what they did. They put the country back half a century all in the name of trying to keep the republicans in office. I watched him take the microphone away from the ignorant woman who called Obama an arab, I watched him tell the guy who's worried about raising his new child in a world lead by Obama, that Obama is a decent family man with whom he only had differences. Unfortunately, the hatred that's been spewed out over and over on TV, on radio, in all the rallies has taken hold. McCain is a sorry excuse for the man that once was an honorable senator. I hope and pray that none of these "supporters" doesn't take it into their twisted minds to do anything more than rant.
The "honorable" Senator from Arizona should be ashamed of everything he stands for today. Whatever good he's done in the Senate evaporated in the last few months. And his legacy will be that of a hate monger that fell from grace in the most despicable way.
A decent person who will tax you to no end.
You want to talk morals and ethics? Your ignorance is glaring obvious if you think you can even begin to compare Nobama to McCain.

Hey JR, did you listen to the debates? if you have heard the debates, you would be ashmed about yourself for the lies that you are telling and obviously believe in. OBAMA and MCCAIN BOTH wants taxcuts. Obama wants to cut taxes for 95% of people, the working people. McCain wants to keep the taxcuts for RICH folks and tax your medical insurance. Get an education!
Wow...as a fiercely independent voter, I can't believe that you'd make such a stupid comment that it's the liberals that are vicious. Read your own posts, jerk. The viciousness is from the neo-cons who are going to get creamed in this election who believe that they're on a mission from GOD to force other people to buy into their hate filled invective is some of the most unChristian, anti-humanitarian venom I've ever heard. "That which you have done to the poorest of my brothers, you have also done to me."
Jr....
Are you certain you were not in one of those crowds. Silver tongued? Your rhetoric is pure hatred. I can't believe how you guys act.
Nice guys finish last. McCain is a great man; Obama is a brilliant orator and his campaign PR team is spectacular (except for ACORN, of course). On both sides, this campaign has turned into a rhetorical UFC octagon showdown. To suddenly put on a pair of white gloves and ask to pass the Grey Poupon will only put you on the receiving end of a multimedia "ground and pound".
Sarah Palin, my Governor, who was what, two years old when William Ayers was doing his thing. I am willing to bet that Sarah Palin didn't even know who William Ayers was or what his past was about until she was recently briefed by the Swift Boat right wing Republican hacks that have been hired by the McCain/Palin campaign to smear Obama. Yet she would have people believe that she is an authority on a contrived B.S.relationship between Ayers and Obama. I have a bridge and a road to nowhere here in Alaska that I'd like to sell to the highest bidder: any takers?
Reggie92, all of the questions you asked about Obama, have already been explored. You are not reading, you are being read too. If you have done any reading on your own you would have answers to these very questions you have put forward, if of course you did so with an open mind and unbiased heart.
What has McCain ever led? Maybe a Military Squadron some 40 odd years and nothing since. If so, tell me so I can go and find it and read about it for myself. I admit, I don't know everything about John McCain, but I do know his issues, he congressional record, his life story, just as I know Barack Obama's. And comparing apples to apples, Barack has my vote every time.
very well put!
Well then, please enlighten me about the life of Obama. The MSM certainly will not. All I can go by is Obama's own words in his own book. The Audacity of Hope. Maybe you are the one who needs to read and learn about how this man thinks. And if you are looking for another government handout you are going to be very upset. Obama will raise taxes at a rate Hoover-like 60%. Be careful about what you wish for. Whenever someone asks you Obama supporters questions about Obama's past all you ever say is whay about McCain? What about Palin? Never an answer. Just like your candidate.
Reggie...
Don't try to turn the question around. Please answer the question. You were the one so decidedly correct about what you said. It should be easy for you to take the high road and support your self. Otherwise, you're really in a jam. A jam that you put yourself in. It's your job to get out of the jam.
I'm proud that Senator McCain did the right thing at the Wisconsin rally. I saw him correct that woman who said she was afraid of Senator Obama because he was an "Arab." His face said it all, he looked somewhat ashamed of her, in my opinion, and rightfully so.
As far as Sarah Paliin goes, you really can't fault her for clamming up either. That's what she does when she's not been coached how to properly react. Like during the debate with Senator Biden, after she went on and on about being a mom and handling it all. Once Senator Biden got choked up while saying he, too, understands the demands of being a single parent, having lost his wife and infant daughter. Ms. Palin blinked and clammed up there too. She's being used, coached and has only been at this for "like five weeks," remember? Same with her Katie Couric interview.
I don't think that the McCain/Palin deserve the name-calling and disrespect that's going on here. I do wish, however, that the GOP would just be honorable and accept its apparent impending defeat. It surely can't fault the American public for wanting a change after the last 8 years.
There is so much work to be done to achieve peace and prosperity for all of us. We can't achieve world peace with another arrogant republican president, and the world knows it. We must try something different.
Senator Obama on the other hand has shown remarkable patience, dignity and grace throughout. Mrs. Obama was extremely impressive in her interview with Larry King this last week. Now THAT is an intelligent woman, who we should all be proud of.
Republicans: Its going to be OK, just give it a chance.
well said!!!!!!!
How can you promote good government when it comes from people who believe the government can do no good? We must restore faith in government and ensure we are not governed by faith that is blind.
I think we saw in McCain yesterday a glimpse of even a small piece of the man who still believes in citizeship and decency. It is too bad his Party will have no part of it...
Obama/Biden '08
That glimpse we all saw was a man in conflict because in order to win the "republican base" over, he has to play by their rules. That's what we need to understand. The republican party has become the party that brought the country down and if allowed to continue in office, will completely change it into something foreign and alien to everything we've stood for. If McCain gets into office, he will do precisely what Bush did for 8 years, he will again be just a puppet to do the bidding of those in the shadows. It just can't happen.
McCain is a day late and a dollar short on this one. Supposedly he is "in charge" of his campaign which, with the help of Palin, has turned into a gigantic hate rally against Obama.
If something dreadful happens to Obama (Heaven forbid), I would not be entirely surprised, and I would hold McCain and his campaign, especially Palin, culpable in that potential, horrific outcome.
I had much more respect for McCain before the events during these final weeks... and especially before the choice of the scandal-clad and vicious Palin as his running mate (a wolf in sheep's clothing).
In a word: despicable.
"....a wolf in sheep's clothing...."
I have one to describe Obama. "An Al Qaeda sympathizer in American clothing".
Don't forget McCain has been and still is the liberals' favorite Republican. All this campaign rhetoric is just that, rhetoric. Once McCain is elected, which he probably will regardless of what the polls say, you and other liberals will get everything you want from a President. Even my two lesbian neighbors, who are ACLU and NOW members, are voting for McCain. They love the man because he is a Democrat in Republican clothing. So Vet, relax. Regardless of who win, you get your socialist.

ben- lol! and look what's going on now! your conservative bush and cheney are now going around buying up bank stocks and creating a more socialistic enviroment. U know what, i think the old anti-socilistic, anit-liberal, 'im really mad' republicans are a dying breed.
Whatever party you support it's time to step into the new generation. We can't keep living on Regan's idology, we are in a new era, a new market, and a new world. Old conservative views didn't work in the sixties, when we had our last generational change, and they won't work now.
John McCain has proven he is the best at crossing the aisle and dealing with the other side. Who can forget him standing behind Edward Kennedy at all those press conferences when they were trying to ram the amnesty bill down our throat? I think he should stay where he is at his best, the US Senate, for another term.
Is anyone concerned that Louis Farrakhan is saying Obama is the Messiah. When the Messiah talks the young listens. If Obama is a muslim Messiah, is he a false prophet to christians? Just who is Obama. What is happening to our youth? McCain has always been a good man. Why wouldn't he do what he did? Would Obama? What about the Obama people who show up and yell crap and then get kicked out. Will Obama tell his followers to stop doing that? This is a man who took his children to a church that the preacher dams the US. Has he met with Louis Farrakhan. Why does Farrakhan think a christian is a muslim messiah? Is this why Obama said we have been waiting for him? Does he think he is the messiah? We will just have to wait for these answers. Pray they don't come to late
Florida Dem
florida dem? florida demwit. get a life and stop spreading slander. if peole say that fine let them each side has its nut cases grow up and be responsible. remember in the bible it says THOU SHALL NOT JUDGE.
Liars are sinners, regardless of party affliation. Like Jeremiah Wright said, November 7 will come and go and life will go on regardless of who's the president.
Actually, Wright said, "November 7 will come and go and I will still be a pastor. Where will Barack Obama be?" I believe he meant the first statement. The real statement was really inconsiderate.
Republicans and Democrats alike need to think that life goes on and the enemies you make now will be your children's enemies if you don't take care of your business. I am independent I am not a parrot or robot. I can think for myself.
Farrakhan is an ass and a racist. He is no better, worse even, than Jesse Jackson - 2 blacks that would throw Obama under the bus to further their own personal fame, or infamy, as it were - and make that 3 if you want to count that bitter old fart Wright. Fararkhan is a nut and just running a "black Klan". He does not, and will never, support Obama. Islam, the religion of peace. Yeah, right. Thanks for nothing Farrakhan- you contribute to the problem of lack of unity.
Farrakhan has put his whole support behind Obama, he made a speech calling hi a messiah jsut as K Coleman stated above, this should send upa few flags to you white people who want to do feel good thing by votiing for a black man, maybe you feel by voting for Obama it will make all the bad things you have done to black people go away, but it won't. I am a black democrat from chicago and I won't vote Obama, and I 'm not voting McCain and if Farrakhan supports the Obama Messiah, as does Al Sharton and Jesse Jackson well that makes me open my eyes and I know we have enough trouble and we don't need the kind of trouble they will bring
You don't get it gyp, they all are throwing Obama under the bus with their hate mongering and sour grapes, just to get their own 15 minutes of fame. They don't give a rat's behind about anyone but THEMSELVES. Of course, Farrakhan, with his stupid "white devil" crap, surely enjoys the whole trouble he causes - if people of different ethnic backgrounds get along, it hurts his business. (And he has quite a bit of white blood obviously, which is just more ironic.)
There are plenty of terrible people that support McCain just like there are plenty of terrible people that support Obama. To judge a candidate, especially when there are only two choices, by those who support him shows a clear lack of reason and intelligence.
Unfortunately Senator McCain is old and tired. It took him this long to realize that his and Gov. Palin's incendiary remarks were inciting a mob mentality among his supporters. How shameful.
ENOUGH!
OBAMA / BIDEN '08
I didn't see this kind of anger by the Democrats when the President of the U.S. was called as Satan by President Chavez at U.N. or at numerous anti-war rallies where he was called Hitler. That is not extreme I guess...just free-speech. Such hypocrisy!
